Frequently asked questions.
Straightforward answers for riders choosing a practical brake-adjustment learning path.
Who are these courses for?
They are designed for curious riders, home mechanics, community workshop volunteers, and anyone who wants a more structured approach to basic brake inspection and adjustment.
Do I need previous bicycle repair experience?
No. Introductory courses explain terminology and tool handling before moving into adjustment sequences. Advanced lessons identify the experience they assume.
Which brake systems are covered?
The catalog includes rim brakes, mechanical disc brakes, cable-operated systems, pad alignment, lever feel, and inspection habits. Hydraulic systems are clearly labeled where relevant.
What tools should I have ready?
Most introductory lessons use common hex keys, a clean cloth, a small torque wrench where available, and system-specific tools listed in each course description.
Can a course guarantee that my bicycle is safe?
No. Lessons support learning and inspection, not a safety guarantee. Stop riding and consult a qualified mechanic when components are damaged, uncertain, or outside your ability to assess.
What is Fallows?
Fallows is your local saved-course list. Selecting Save to Fallows stores course IDs in your browser so you can revisit them later.
How does the cart work?
Add courses from the catalog, adjust quantities on the Cart page, and use the order confirmation action. The demonstration site does not process real payments.
How can I request accessibility support?
Use the contact form and describe the format or access support you need. The team will review the request and reply with practical options.
